Today there are 45 established tile manufacturers operating in the country. This year, production is estimated to reach about 120 million square metres. Vietnamese tile production, since its relaunch in 1994, has concentrated mainly on glazed floor tiles, with sophisticated geometric patterns based on traditional cement tile decorations. A second growth segment is that of porcelain tile.
